Mumbai: Larsen & Toubro (L&T), through its Heavy Engineering business, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Asia division of US-based Holtec International to deliver advanced Heat Transfer Solutions for the global nuclear power sector.
The two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly offer design and build solutions for heat transfer equipment, leveraging their complementary strengths in engineering, manufacturing, and technology development.
Strengthening Global Collaboration in Heat Transfer Solutions
This new collaboration expands upon the existing partnership between L&T and Holtec, which already includes the global deployment of Holtec’s Small Modular Reactor, SMR-300. Supported by L&T’s 810 Authorization from the US Department of Energy, the alliance positions both companies to serve the growing international demand for clean and efficient nuclear power technologies.

Through this MoU, L&T’s advanced nuclear manufacturing capabilities will be combined with Holtec’s proven design expertise to develop next-generation Heat Transfer Solutions for both nuclear and conventional power plants.
These systems will focus on optimizing thermal performance, maximizing plant efficiency, and ensuring operational reliability across diverse energy applications.
